We list below the most common FrontPage issues raised.
Problem: My FrontPage search form no longer works
Solution: Open your live web site from within FrontPage (see the article below this link) and choose from the menu bar TOOLS, RECALCULATE HYPERLINKS. This should sort the problem out. If not contact support.
Problem: I've uploaded my website using FTP but now my FrontPage forms don't work
Solution: You should always upload a FrontPage created site using FrontPage. This allows the server extensions to synchronize and "become aware" of your FrontPage forms and components.
Problem: I was uploading my web site using FrontPage and I had a message on my screen saying that the "Server had unexpectedly closed the connection" Why has your server done this !
Solution: This message is a bit misleading. What it actually translates to is that there was a break in communication between the server and you which has meant that the transfer has been aborted. This break can only be momentary and may be due to a brief loss in connection at any point between you and us - it does not mean that the server cut you off.
Try uploading again - if the problem persists try at a later time or using a different ISP (if you have one). If you cannot do so after trying this then contact support.
Problem: I'm a Platinum Plus customer and I've had got a MultiMap site created that points to a subdirectory or subweb of my main site. When I visit the subdirectory all of my forms and components work OK but when I visit the MultiMap site they don't.
Solution: Contact support - we need to move the site outside of your main content directory for this to work correctly.
Problem: I'm creating a form on my PC using FrontPage. I want this form to send mail to me when someone fills it in, but when I save the form I get a warning saying that my computer isn't configured to send mail - why is this?
Solution: This is normal. The FrontPage extensions installed on our web servers are configured to allow mail to be sent from forms, but your computers are not. When you publish the form to our web servers they will work - you should choose to ignore this message by clicking the appropriate button in the warning message.
