Q. When I browse to my web site I see a 404 Error or a message saying I am unauthorised to view this page - why is this?

Q. How do I configure my web site to use Active Server Pages?
A. It's enabled by default.  All you have to do is build your page and save it with a .asp extension.

Q. So does everyone get Active Server Pages?
A. The only exception is when someone repeatedly causes the server to error because of a badly coded application.

Q. I'm developing a site that may cause errors.  I don't want ASP facilities withdrawn, what can I do?
A. Tell us.  We'll run your web site in it's own process during development until you get the problem sorted.

Q. I got a free web site from you a while ago.  I've decided that I need more facilities - can I upgrade it?
A. Of course.  Send an e-mail to sales@hostinguk.net telling us about the facilities you need and we'll sort it out.  We're happy to work with all of our customers to ensure they get the package they need.

Q. How do I get my web site listed in the search engines?  Do you do this for me?
A. We don't submit your web site for you, but we can point you at some resources that offer submission services.  Click this link for more details.

Q. Although I have a secure site on the server, when people submits a form and it is e-mailed back to me it would be insecure at that point.  What can I do to secure it?
A. Good point - obviously you don't want to send your message in the clear.  One solution is shown here
